Safety - Response Steward

Term: Casual

Location: Craven Cottage, Stevenage Road, London, SW6 6HH

Would you like to be a part of an action orientated team ensuring the safety and well being of all of our supporters from the time they enter the stadium until they depart?  Response stewards are expected to be involved in dealing with incidents within and outside the Stadium, including the licensed areas of the Stadium. This role will involve dealing with conflict, disorder and breaches of the ground regulations and will also include searching and ejecting spectators.This post is part of the match day safety team. 

You will be expected to hold at least an NVQ level 2, hold a valid SIA licence and fully committed to carrying out your duties, whilst delivering service excellence by meeting and greeting fans with the friendly face of the Club.  We have exciting opportunities for highly motivated individuals to join our match-day safety response team for the forthcoming season.  You will be committed to delivering service excellence, have a can-do attitude and maintain the highest levels of professionalism.  If you are immaculately presented, service driven, outgoing and friendly, can work weekends and evenings, then we want you to be a part of our match-day safety team for the 2015/2016 season. 

At Fulham Football Club we pride ourselves in delivering service excellence whilst maintaining a safe environment for our supporters and visitors. You could be part of this team and help to maintain and improve these standards.  Responsibilities Managing capacities and behaviour through proactive observation of, and interaction with, spectators & guests. Assisting with queue management, ensuring good order in the allocated areas. Ensuring effective close down of areas at specified time. 

All positions play a vital role in the case of an emergency. In addition to the above, key responsibilities include monitoring spectators, reporting unusual crowd dynamics, identifying and reporting any hazards and defects including suspect objects, keeping entrances, gangways and exits clear and observing and enforcing ground rules.

Requirements

As per the Green Guide, you must be 18 years or older to be considered for this position.  You must hold an NVQ level 2 in Spectator Safety or BTEC equivalent. You must hold a valid SIA Door Supervision Licence.  You must have experience of working in a Response Team within a Stadium environment. All applicants must be available to work weekends and evenings and commit to games throughout the full season (August to May), for at least 20 events. Please note that we are also looking for Response Team Leaders. We have exciting opportunities for highly motivated individuals to join our match-day safety team.  As well as Stand Stewards we are also looking for Corporate Stewards, Car Park Stewards and Turnstile Operators. If you think you have the skills and qualities to fulfill any of these stewarding roles in particular please specify the reasons why in your personal statement on your application form.

•Assisting fans where needed. •Keeping exit routes clear.

•Ability to recognise problems and to resolve where necessary.

•Following instructions from your supervisor.

We have limited spaces available to deliver this qualification if this is something you currently do not have.
